LUMBERTON – Doubles by Eli Rutland and Jackson Johnson sparked a 7-run 5th inning that propelled Elizabethtown into a 15-12 lead and eventual 15-14 victory over West Robeson White Sunday in the Diamond Youth Baseball District 9 AA (Coach Pitch) Tournament.
For Elizabethtown: Javie Jackson singled and scored a run; Landon Brown batted 2-for-3 with a run scored; Eli Rutland batted 3-for-3 with a double and a run scored; Jackson Johnson doubled and scored a run; Miles Bernhardt batted 2-for-3 with a run scored; Kohen Smeigh singled and scored a run.
Also for Elizabethtown: Billy Fowler singled and scored a run; Brynlee Gooden batted 3-for-3 with a run scored; T. J. Smith batted 2-for-3 with 2 runs scored; Nate Lee batted 2-for-3 with a run scored; Carver Hair batted 2-for-3 with a run scored; Anna Allen singled and scored a run.
