PEMBROKE– Lumberton Gold defeated Elizabethtown 13-2 Saturday in the opening round of the Diamond Youth Baseball District 9 AAA (Minors) Tournament.
Elizabethtown will play the Fairmont/Lumberton Maroon loser Sunday at 3 p.m. in an elimination game.
Members of the Elizabethtown team are: Wake Wells, Tyson Powell, Luke Hair, Cooper Clark, Jacari Rhodie, Waylon Smith, Ryker Dowless, Cameron Bethea, Brandon Foye, Zaveone Rogers and Kash Purdie. Coaches are Raymond Autry and Seth Hair.
