Today is Earth Day! On this day, we remember the importance of Earth and our role in taking care of it. We know that there are problems and that we need a change, so what stops us from starting?

Earth Day arose on April 22, 1970. The promoter of this day was the US Senator and activist Gaylord Nelson. As a goal, Gaylord sought to raise awareness and invite all the United States to fight for the environment. According to the NatGeo website, “more than 20 million people in the US participated in the first Earth Day.”

Every morning, we wake up knowing that it is a new day, but we don’t always think about everything we have. We have a whole world. The Earth is so generous that it has enough to supply the needs of all human beings. For this reason, it is our job to take care of her in every way possible.

We know the theories about how the Earth was created. We have been living on it for millions of years. Even today, we must remember its immeasurable value. In addition to living on Earth, humans have access to its natural resources and the opportunity to share them with millions of living beings.

Unfortunately, over time, the resources, ecosystems, and even living beings have diminished. Many will think that these changes are the natural cycle of the Earth, and they are right. Limited things at some point end. However, there are so many wonders in our world. Why would we not share them with other generations? We cannot make the Earth eternal, but we can make an effort to keep it for a very long time.

It is today, and it is now. We are invited to make passes with nature. With so many possible ways to help, we can adapt some to our lifestyle. Here are three ways you can help the Earth:

1. Don’t waste. The best-known way is to make good use of resources as necessary.

-Shorten showers.

-Disconnect electronic equipment that is not in use.

-Do not buy in excess.

-If possible, make use of reusable items.

-Avoid using plastic and paper.

2. Three R. Recycle, reuse and reduce.

-Transform materials used to be able to take advantage of them again.

-If possible, use boxes, envelopes, and other products more than once.

-Reduce the excess of material uses.

-Separate garbage.

-Categorize garbage for organic waste.

-Avoid single-use products.

3. Learn. Getting educated and knowing is one of the most effective ways of caring for the environment. Let us be aware and generate awareness.

It is no secret to anyone that the Earth offers us infinite opportunities. The least we can do in return is take care of her. In the words of the UN, “Let us remember today more than ever on this International Mother Earth Day that we need a shift towards a more sustainable economy that works for both people and the planet. Let us promote harmony with nature and the Earth. “

To engage with the environment and the Earth, let’s learn, educate ourselves, and educate others. The impact is tremendous and begins simply with the will to make a difference.
