East Bladen’s Lady Eagles (13-2-2) received the No. 6 seed in the NCHSAA Class 1A Girls Soccer Playoffs and will host No. 27 seed Cape Hatteras (3-12-1) Monday at 5 p.m.

The brackets were released Friday afternoon. East Bladen was the top-seeded 1A team from the Waccamaw Conference. The Cape Hatteras Lady Hurricanes were one of only 2 soccer teams in the Atlantic Conference and dropped all 3 of their conference decisions to No. 8 seed Bear Grass Charter.

If Coach Jay Raynor’s Lady Eagles win Monday’s opener, they will host a 2nd round game against the winner of the game between No. 11 Roxboro Community and No. 22 Jones Senior.

East Columbus (No. 19) and Pender (No. 28) were the other Waccamaw teams receiving 1A bids. Heide Trask (No. 9) and South Columbus (No. 31) received Class 2A bids.

Southeastern Athletic Conference champion Clinton was seeded No. 10 in the Class 2A playoffs. No other team from the Southeastern Athletic received a bid.
