East Bladen and West Bladen both received berths in the NCHSAA Class 2A Girls Basketball State Play-offs Saturday when the brackets were released.
Coach Patty Evers’ Lady Eagles (26-1), the Three Rivers Conference regular-season and tournament champions, received the No. 6 seed in the East and will host No. 27 Oxford Webb (15-8) in Tuesday’s opening round. Webb finished in third place in the Northern Carolina Conference.
Coach Brian McCleney’s Lady Knights (15-10) are the No. 31 seed in the East and will travel to No. 2 Bertie (23-2), the Northeastern Coastal Conference champions.
