ELIZABETHTOWN – The Elizabethtown Fire Department has a new resource at its disposal – a new website. The web address is elizabethtownfire.org.
“There are many reasons why we created it,” said Chief Nick West.
He said the website will assist the fire department with such things as community outreach and allowing citizens to request a truck for a community event.
“There are so many different services we provide,” said West.
West said the new website will help to educate the public about what services the fire department provides to the community such as car seat safety classes, demonstrations and home inspections. He said there is also a section regarding what the community can expect from its fire department.
He added the website will also offer news, a section for training photos and videos as well as information about community events the department will take part in and other county fire departments can see announcements about upcoming training classes offered at the fire station.
