The Elizabethtown Fire Department will be lending a hand to the Elizabethtown Rotary Club 8K on Saturday morning. The Rotary Club 8K will be held at the Brown’s Creek Nature Trail at 8:30 a.m.
Chief Nick West said the fire department will have an area at the 8K where they will have the fire trucks set up for folks to look at and there will also be an obstacle course and games for the children. West said the children will also have the opportunity to learn about fire safety.
West said that children will be able to compete and see how fast they can complete the obstacle course.
Another game will be the “Where is the Fire” prop. West said that the children can spray water and try their hand at putting the fire out.
“Parents can bring their children out and they can take part (in the event),” said West.
