Correction: There were two Premier Performers; Ayden Murray & Ny’Ashia Lyles. They both competed together as a Duo act on the Beta Stage & won 5th Place.

Elizabethtown Middle School (EMS) once again made its presence felt on the academic and artistic stage, as a group of talented students attended the North Carolina Junior Beta Convention held in Greensboro. EMS students showcased their remarkable talents and dedication, leaving a lasting impression at the convention.

A Strong Showing in Performing Arts

EMS displayed its musical talents with a commendable 5th-place finish in Performing Arts Junior – Solo, Duo, Trio – Vocalist, highlighting the school’s commitment to nurturing young performers.

Ayden Murray: Premier Performer

One of the standout moments of the convention was when Ayden Murray was recognized as a Premier Performer. This prestigious title celebrates Ayden’s exceptional talent and dedication to the arts, and it serves as a testament to EMS’s commitment to fostering artistic excellence.

King McKoy’s Artistic Achievement

EMS also made a mark in the visual arts, with King McKoy securing 5th place in the Onsite Art Painting Elementary division. This accomplishment underscores the school’s dedication to nurturing creativity in its students.

Creative Excellence in Campaign Skit

The convention also recognized EMS’s creative prowess, as the school secured 5th place in the Campaign Skit Junior category. This achievement highlights the teamwork and imaginative thinking of EMS students.

EMS Beta Club’s Vice-President, Calleigh Smith, pursued the State Office of Vice-President with a captivating Barbie-themed campaign, putting forth an exceptional effort in her endeavor.
