Kaylee Fisher and Savannah Ownbey slugged home runs to lead the Force to a 15-8 victory over the Thunder Tuesday in Bladen Recreation 11-12 Softball action at County Park.

Ruby Liggitt and Laikyn Rogerson drew walks to start the Force 1st inning, and both raced home on Fisher’s home run. Makynzee Thompson and Caylee Ownbey drew walks, and Savannah Ownbey and Amani Galdeen belted run-scoring singles as the Force went up 6-0.

Keira Dowless walked and scored a Thunder run in the home half of the inning. Kylie Morgan and Keira Dowless both walked and scored runs in the Thunder 2nd inning to slice the margin to 6-3.

Liggitt walked, and Rogerson drove her in with a single in the Force 3rd inning. Fisher walked and both Rogerson and Fisher scored on passed balls Thompson was hit by a pitch, and Savannah Ownbey hammered a 2-run home run. Caylee Ownbey was hit by a pitch and scored as the lead grew to 12-3.

Delana Phillips walked and scored a Thunder run in the home 3rd.

An’Asia Tutt and Liggitt drew walks to begin the Force 4th inning, and both of them scored on Rogerson’s single. Rogerson later scored as the lead grew to 15-4.

Keira Dowless walked, and Rylie Dowless walloped a 2-run home run in the Thunder 4th inning. Kayden Jackson and Phillips drew walks and scored as the Thunder pulled to within 15-8.

Jackson and Avalyn Tart pitched for the Thunder. Tart struck out a batter. Rogerson struck out 2 for the Force, and Fisher struck out 3. Galdeen recorded an unassisted double play at 1st base for the Force.
