The Elizabethtown Police Department responded to a report of a suspicious person early Monday morning in the vicinity of 503 Glenwood Drive, according to Lt. Mark McMichael.  Officers were performing a traffic check near Glenwood Drive at about midnight when the call was received.

Lt. McMichael said the officers located the reporting party in the middle of the street and learned the property owner’s wife had said someone was shaking the front door as if they were trying to get into the home. The individual is described as a male wearing a brown jacket with a hood.

“The person the officers made contact with shot into the air to scare the individual off the front porch. He took off running into the woods and officers could not locate him,” said Lt. McMichael. He said officers did speak to neighbors who reported they did not see anyone matching the description of the suspicious person.
