Elizabethtown Town Council met in regular session Tuesday evening.  A Elizabethtown Regular Sessionpublic hearing was held for comments from town citizens regarding the Special Use permit for demolition of existing convenience store and construction of new store and restaurant at 404 S. Poplar St.  There were no comments made by the public.  Joey Taylor with Campbell Oil Company, gave an overview to the Council.  Later in the meeting, Council approved the Special Use Permit. 

Wendy and Bill Austin of 604 Queen St. addressed the Board regarding drainage, street and tree issues on N. Robeson, Queen and Craig streets.  No action was taken, but they did ask Pat DeVane, Public Works Director to meet with them.

In administrative matters, Council approved a contract with Sage Design for design services at Leinwand Park; approved Façade Grant application for Yia Yia’s; approved the Airport Safety/Maintenance Agreement; awarded the base bid and alternate 1 for the downtown Sewer Collection System Rehabilitation Project; declared surplus property to be sold through GovDeals; approved Tax Releases, Budget Amendments and the monthly Financial Report.
