May 5: Registration will begin at 8 a.m. until 12 p.m. for the Greater Mckoy’s Chapel, Inc. Annual Car Show! The fee to enter a vehicle in the show will be $25. The judging will begin at 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. and the awards will be given out at 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. There will be no food vendors, instead the food will be sold by Greater Mckoy’s Chapel, Inc., and the fee to register as a vender is $15. May 5: Both this Saturday and Sunday the Bladen County Master Gardener Volunteers will be at the cape Fear Farmers Market from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. They will be having their Annual plant sale on a huge variety of North Carolina grown plants at a reasonable price. There will be perennials, shrubs, trees, annuals and tomatoes available to purchase. This sale is meant to be the only fund raiser the Master Gardeners have to sponsor for two $500 scholarships.
May 5: Beginning at 9:30 a.m. the 2nd Annual Aim For a Cure Benefit will be at the Allen Brothers Hunting Preserve. There will be a live auction, raffles, door prizes, games and, a kids’ safe zone and a first-timers safe zone.
May 5: Kid’s appreciation Day will be held behind the Elizabethtown Municipal on the soccer field at 10 a.m. Food and drinks will be available, along with a homerun derby, bounce houses, and so much more!
May 5: There will be a Fish Fry at the Anderson Drug parking lot. The event will be held by the Elizabethtown Church of God. It will begin at 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.They will be serving fish, baked beans, slaw, bread and dessert with each plate costing $7. For more information call 9910) 874-5722.
