May 18 & 19: Saturday at 10 a.m., the 40th Annual White Lake Water Festival will begin with a parade. There will be activities throughout the day to keep everyone busy! May 19: White Oak Family Worship Center’s College and Careers Group will have their 5k Trail Run and Walk begin at 8:30 a.m. It will take place at Jones Lake State Park and call (910) 618-7329 to pay for the $25 admission. For more information and registration go to payit2.com/event/100198.
May 19: At 11 a.m. the Elizabethtown Missionary Baptist Church will be having a Hammond Creek Fun Day on Saturday. All are invited to join the event and will be located at the Bladen County Park on Hwy 701.
May 19: From 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. the 11th Bob Hester Reunion will be held at the Bladenboro Community Building on Elm St. in Bladenboro. All are welcome to the event and for more information either call 704-864-4871 or e-mail: hermanhester38@gmail.com.
May 20: There will be a Pre Birthday Celebration program at Greater McKoy’s Chapel Church, Inc. of Dublin. It will begin at 5 p.m. with Pastor Luevenia Dewitt, DD of Deliverance Prayer Temple in Loris, SC, will be making a appearance. Everyone is invited to join the program.
