A tractor trailer truck caught fire on Monday morning at about 7:50 a.m. on NC 211 near Allenton Grocery. Traffic was detoured down Allenton Road to allow firefighters to put out the fire and work to clear the roadway of the debris.
The Allenton Fire Department received assistance from area fire departments including units from Bladen County.
