Fire Victim identified in Hartsville, SC House Fire

Darlington County Coroner Todd Hardee confirmed that the victim of a Friday night  house fire near Hartsville, SC is Dorothy Pait Johnson.  Johnson apparently was the lone occupant of a house on fire, discovered by a passing motorist.  The two story house was estimated to be 75% involved in flames when the first fire units arrived on the scene.
SLED investigators were called to investigate, which is the policy in fires that involve a death.
Johnson was a 1956 graduate of Bladenboro High School.  She moved to the Hartsville area years ago.  Several relatives live in the Bladenboro area.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Hartsville, S.C.  She was preceded in death by her daughter, Joy Johnson, brother Horace Pait and her parents, Ralph and Leola Pait of Bladenboro.
