A Staff Report

In the spirit of giving and community engagement, First Bank branches across North Carolina and South Carolina joined forces during the month of November to conduct a remarkable food drive. The initiative aimed to collect non-perishable food items for local food banks, fostering a sense of unity and support for those in need. In particular, the Elizabethtown branch of First Bank demonstrated the true essence of this charitable endeavor.

The photo above showcases the Elizabethtown group, which played a pivotal role in this heartwarming initiative. Among the people in the photo are the dedicated employees of the local First Bank branch in Elizabethtown, who wholeheartedly participated in the collection effort. Joining them for the photo opportunity were representatives from the Bladen Crisis Center, a prominent local food bank, further emphasizing the collaborative spirit of the event.

In the span of a single month, the First Bank local branch managed to amass an impressive donation of approximately 100 pounds of non-perishable food items. This contribution demonstrates the bank’s commitment to making a tangible impact on the communities they serve, particularly during a time when many families rely on the generosity of others to put food on the table.

First Bank’s AVP City Executive, Michael Davis, MBA, NMLS 565044, expressed his pride in the initiative and leads by example in giving back to our communities and supporting those in need, especially during the holiday season.

The donated food items will be distributed to local food banks throughout the various locations in North Carolina and South Carolina where First Bank branches are located. This widespread distribution ensures that the impact of this initiative will be felt across multiple communities, making a difference in the lives of those facing food insecurity.
