A fire in White Oak claimed a building that was once used many years ago as a dairy barn, according to one witness on the scene. The building is located on Devin Drive across the highway from Butler Farms.
The fire was reported at 12:04 p.m., according to Tim Tatum with the White Oak Fire Department.
“It was fully engulfed when I got here,” said Tatum, who reported being the first fire truck on the scene.
He said the investigation into the cause of the fire is continuing.
The Ammon, White Oak, Tar Heel, White Lake and Elizabethtown fire departments and Bladen County EMS all responded to the call.
