Four Bladen County basketball players – two each from East Bladen and West Bladen – have been named to the 2016-2017 All-Four County Girls Basketball Team.

Senior Emily Scott and sophmore Ja’Tyra Moore-Peterson were East Bladen’s All-Four County Girls selections, while seniors Laikyn Pait and Logan Autry made the Girls All-Star squad from West Bladen.

Moore-Peterson filled up the stat sheet with 17.2 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 2.6 steals per game as the Lady Eagles posted a 22-6 record. The 5-10 guard fired in her season-high of 30 points in a 49-30 win over Cape Fear.

In 25 of her 28 games Moore-Peterson scored in double-figures. Ten times the Eagle sophmore tallied 20 or more points. She racked up 29 points against Pender, 26 in a 53-47 win over Midway and 25 points and 8 assists in a win over Union.

Scott averaged 5.7 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.6 steals for the season. In her final game at Roanoke Rapids, the 6-foot senior posted a season-high double-double of 13 points and 11 rebounds.

In a December win over East Columbus, Scott just missed a double-double with 12 points and 9 rebounds. Her rebounding high was 13 in a 39-31 win over Word of God, and she grabbed 12 rebounds in games against Union, Midway and Fairmont. Scott claimed double-figures in rebounds in 8 games.

Pait averaged 10.4 points, 7.7 rebounds and 2 steals per game as West Bladen posted a 12-15 record. The 5-9 forward scored in double figures 15 times and grabbed double-figure rebounds 7 times. Her best game was a 21-point, 16-rebound performance in the season-opening win over Lakewood.

Pait scored 15 points in one game against East Bladen and pulled down 13 rebounds in a 49-45 loss to East. She was credited with a season-high 7 steals in a 47-46 win over Pender in the Four County Tournament.

Autry contributed 7.1 points, 5.1 rebounds, 3 assists and 3.5 steals per game for the Lady Knights. The 5-6 senior just missed a triple-double with 19 points, 10 rebounds and 8 steals in a 54-47 win over West Columbus. She scored in double-figures in seven games.

Autry scored 14 points in a 63-23 win over Heide Trask, grabbed 10 rebounds in a 33-31 victory over Whiteville and was credited with 9 steals in a win over Union and 7 steals in the season-opener against Lakewood.
