CARTERSVILLE, GA – Freddie Wooten and his Dirt Bags Camo travel team finished third this weekend in the Perfect Game 14-and-Under World Series at the Lake Point Sports Complex.
Wooten is a rising sophmore at East Bladen High. The Perfect Game World Series featured 32 of the top travel teams in the country.
The Dirt Bags opened the tournament Friday with a 9-1 victory over the D team from Las Vegas, NV. On Saturday the Dirt Bags edged Banditos Scout from Tomball, TX 5-4.
Sunday the Dirt Bags defeated Team Beast Red from Commack, NY 8-2. The Dirt Bags edged Elite Baseball Training from Chicago, IL 6-5 in Monday’s first game then later Monday defeated Elite Squad from Florida 3-1 in the quarterfinals.
Tuesday morning the Dirt Bags dropped a 3-1 decision to Team Elite from Winder, GA in the semi-finals. Team Elite lost 4-3 in the championship game to Dulin’s Dodgers from Cordova, TN.
