The NC Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services’ (NCDA&CS) Pesticide Disposal Assistance Program, a non-regulatory and cost-free program, and the Bladen County Cooperative Extension Service, will be sponsoring a Pesticide Collection Day on November 15th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Bladen County Cooperative Extension office, located at 450 Smith Circle, Elizabethtown, NC 28337. Matthew Strickland, Bladen County Cooperative Extension’s Pesticide Coordinator is coordinating the collection with NCDA&CS.

For pesticides with unreadable or missing labels, gas cylinders or containers greater than five gallons in size, and for tips on transporting pesticides safely to the collection event contact the Extension office at (910) 862-4591 for instructions. Participants are asked to save any portion of the label to help identify the material to be disposed of. Unknown materials cannot be accepted.
