RALEIGH, NC – In a bold move, Governor Roy Cooper has chosen the esteemed Honorable C. Ashley Gore as the new Superior Court Judge for Judicial District 13A, presiding over the vibrant counties of Bladen and Columbus. With the departure of Judge Douglas Sasser, Judge Gore stepped in to fill this vital role.

“Judge C. Ashley Gore’s ascent to the Superior Court benchmarks a milestone in her impressive legal career,” exclaimed Governor Cooper. “With her wealth of experience and knowledge, I have no doubt that she will continue to excel in this elevated position.”
Judge C. Ashley Gore brings an illustrious background to her new appointment. Currently serving as a District Court Judge in Judicial District 13, she has also contributed her talents as an Assistant District Attorney for the 15th Prosecutorial District. Before that, she became an Associate Attorney at the prestigious Gore Law Firm. Notably, she obtained her Bachelor of Arts from the renowned University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, followed by a Juris Doctorate from the esteemed Campbell University Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law.

With a decade of legal expertise under her belt, Judge C. Ashley Gore embarks on a fresh chapter as she takes on the responsibilities of a Superior Court Judge. The citizens of Bladen and Columbus counties can rest assured that justice will be served with fairness, integrity, and dedication as their new judge takes the bench.
