Bladen County Schools released Bladen County Board of Education Meeting Highlights. Students from Bladen Lakes Primary School led the Pledge of Allegiance.

The Board celebrated the accomplishments of our fall athletes!

Bladenboro Middle School’s Girls Soccer Team had an undefeated season & are the Waccamaw AA Conference Champions.

BMS’s Volleyball team are the Bladen County Tournament Champions

Elizabethtown Middle School’s Boys Soccer Team are the Waccamaw AA Conference Champions.

East Bladen High School’s Reese Hester is the Women’s Tennis 1A Waccamaw Conference Singles Tournament Champion.

EBHS’s Reese Hester and Chandler Bordeaux, along with their coach Megan Kirby were recognized for their participation in the Women’s Tennis Regionals.

EBHS’s Sabra McLean, Jacob Calder, Jamiya Peterson, and their coach Wilson Bolden were recognized for the participation in the Cross Country Regionals.

EBHS’s Rodney Lacewell was recognized for playing in the East/West All Star Game.

EBHS’s Mason Brooks was recognized for playing in the Shrine Bowl Game.

EBHS’s Jamie Delgado was recognized as the boys soccer Co-Waccamaw Conference Player of the Year.

The Board recognized Coach Patty Evers who has been appointed Vice President of the North Carolina Coaches Association.

BCS social media stated, “We recognized our school board members and celebrated their dedication to our schools, students, teachers, staff, and community as part of School Board Appreciation Month.”

They added, “We celebrated the opening of the new Tar Heel School! Classes were held for the first time in the new building on Monday, January 8!”
