The Easter holiday falls in March this year and the Friends of the Bay Lakes has a big event planned. The committee will be sponsoring the Jones Lake State Park Easter Egg Hunt and the North Carolina Park Centennial Celebration.
The event will be held on Saturday, March 26, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. for all ages. There will be games, concessions, crafts, a raffle, a movie, prize, hikes and more! Free to the public, the event requires pre-registration.
To register you are asked to call 910-588-4550 or stop by Jones Lake State Park Visitor Center. Registration is open through Wednesday, March 23. Folks are asked to please arrive at the event early for check in. The Egg Hunt will begin promptly at 11 a.m.
