 Antwaun McNeill and Cody Freeman combined on a 5-hit shutout Wednesday night to lead Red Springs to a 6-0 non-conference baseball victory over visiting East Bladen.
 
McNeill pitched the first four innings and allowed 4 hits and 2 walks, while striking out four. Freeman worked the final 3 innings on the hill and gave up a hit, a walk and a hit batter, while striking out eight.
 
McNeill batted 2-4 with a double and 2 runs batted in, while teammate Jorge Franco was 2-3 with a double and an rbi. Cole Jacobs was 2-2 at the plate for the Red Devils.
 
It was a night of missed opportunities for the Eagles who left ten runners on base.
 
Sophmore Sincere Smith slammed a double and a single to lead the East Bladen hitters. Senior Nikita Owens cracked a single and drew 2 walks. Sophmore Ty Watkins and junior Kyle Tatum added a single each for East Bladen.
 
Sophmore Devan Stocks pitched the first 4 innings for the Eagles and allowed 2 runs on 5 hits and a walk, while striking out four. Sophmore Xavier Wooten took the hill in the fifth and worked the final 2 innings, giving up 4 runs on 4 hits and 2 walks, while striking out two.
 
Red Springs scored single runs in the first and second innings and tacked on 4 more runs in the sixth. 
 
The Eagles, now 1-1, will travel to South Robeson Friday for a 6 p.m. game.
