PageBowenClinton 70, West Bladen 48

Clinton’s relentless pressure defense keyed a 42-25 second half surge that carried the Dark Horses to a 70-48 Four County Conference jayvee boys victory at West Bladen Friday night.

Kalvin Page tossed in 4 points, and sophomore John Bowen drilled a 3-point shot as the Knights grabbed a 13-8 first quarter lead.

The Dark Horses outscored the Knights 20-10 to go up 28-23 at halftime.

Bowen bombed in a pair of 3-point shots and led the Knights with 12 points, 8 rebounds and 2 blocked shots. Kalvin Page finished with 10 points, 4 rebounds and 3 steals.

SmithTraquan Smith grabbed 8 rebounds and scored 8 points for the Knights. Teammate Kasson Page contributed 8 points, 4 rebounds, 2 blocks and 2 steals.
Fred Walters added 4 points for West Bladen.

West Bladen, now 2-2 in the Four County and 6-4 overall, will host Midway Friday after the exam break.
