CERRO GORDO – West Columbus built a 12-3 halftime lead and held on for a 14-10 Three Rivers Conference jayvee girls basketball victory over West Bladen Tuesday.
Anniya Phillips pumped in a first period basket, and Tinyauh Rhoda sank a free throw to account for the Lady Knight first half points.
Olivia McCarty and Phillips tossed in third quarter baskets as the Lady Knights closed the gap to 12-7. Rhoda threw in a fourth quarter basket, and Taylor West made a free throw.
Phillips led West Bladen with 4 points, and Rhoda finished with 3 points.
The Lady Knight jayvees will host South Columbus Tuesday.
