BLADENBORO – Kimberly Dowless and Shanna Lewis combined for 18 service points, and Tah’lea Bethea walloped in 9 kills to lead West Bladen to a 2-0 Southeastern Athletic Conference junior varsity volleyball victory over Red Springs Tuesday by set scores of 25-7 and 25-14.

Dowless distributed 4 assists, had 1 kill and totaled 9 service points including 3 aces. Lewis matched the 9 service points and drilled in 4 aces. Freshman Ellie Kinlaw smacked in 3 kills and a service point. Helaina Conklin belted in a kill and 2 service points including 1 ace.

West sophomore Kali Allen checked all the columns on the stat sheet with 4 assists, 2 kills and 5 service points including 3 aces. Sophomore Makenna Thurman fired in 5 service points and a kill. Sophomore Jahyra Priest hammered in a kill and 4 service points including 2 aces. Freshman Karlee Gause knocked in 2 kills and 2 service points.

Coach Kaitlyn Sykes’ Lady Knight jayvees claimed 2nd place in the SAC-6 with an 8-2 record and finished their season with a 16-6 overall mark.
