Bladen County golfer Kayla Thompson made the cut in the Kathy Whitworth Championship. She shot 70-75=145 to tie for 27th place after two rounds in Trophy City, Texas.
The second day score of 75, consisted of 13 pars, 4 bogeys and 1 birdie.
The Annika Women’s All Pro Tour tournament is a 72 hole event with the third round Friday and final round Saturday.
Mary Parsons of British Columbia has a three stroke lead at the halfway point at 10 under par after a pair of 67s.
Thompson is a graduate of West Bladen High School and UNCW and resides in Clarkton.
