The Wichita Falls Championship will be played this week, April 13-16, in Wichita Falls, Texas. Kayla Thompson, of Clarkton, will be participating.
The tournament offers $7,500 for first place with a purse of around $40,000.
Thompson began her season last season and failed to make the cut in the Mackie Construction Abilene Open in Abilene, Texas. She shot 232 for three rounds and missed the cut by 4 strokes.
Thompson is a graduate of West Bladen High School and UNC Wilmington.
