U.S. Marines with the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) will conduct a military exercise in the vicinity of Elizabethtown, N.C., Oct. 26, 2016.
The exercise, known as Realistic Urban Training, is intended to prepare the Marines to operate in an urban environment before their scheduled deployment later this year. The training has been closely coordinated with civilian authorities, community officials, and law enforcement. These events should have minimal impact on the community.
