While in Hawaii, Jacqueline will be reaching out in her faith her senior year of high school together with Manna Church, Grace College of Divinity, the EXPERIENCE college internship, and the assistance of sponsors to reach those who are unchurched in Hawaii.

“I will complete my senior year of high school, as well as earn a Certificate of Christian Leadership and be part of the pioneering of Manna Church Hawaii,” Jacqueline said.

She added, “We will be working throughout the city reaching out to the military community and ministering to the people of Hawaii. We will also look to partner with ministries in Hawaii to assist them in meeting the needs of the homeless community.”

According to Jacqueline, surprisingly, the state of Hawaii has the highest rate of homelessness in the United States per capita. As of January 2016, there were over 7,000 homeless people living there.

Jacqueline said her main goal while in Hawaii is to reach the unchurched active duty military service men and women stationed there. On the island of Oahu, there are four major military installations including Pearl Harbor Navy Base, Kaneohe Marine Base, a US Coast Guard Base and Hickam Air Force Base — all within a 597 square mile area.

When asked how someone may help her to reach her goal, Jacqueline said, “First of all, would you commit to praying for me and the rest of the Manna team that will be traveling? Please pray that God will fulfill his purpose through us while we are there and that He will protect our entire team while we are there.”

The church has estimated the cost for Jacqueline’s senior year missionary trip to be about $10,000.
