TABOR CITY – Shy’Asia Ratliff poured in 19 points Monday to lead Clarkton School of Discovery to a 38-17 Waccamaw Middle School Conference girls basketball victory over Tabor City.

Ratliff and Alaya White threw in 3 baskets each in the first period as the Lady Blue Devils raced to a 13-4 lead. Ratliff fired in 4 more baskets and a free throw in the second quarter, and Gabby Nealy and Kaniyah Hairston netted baskets as the lead grew to 26-8 at halftime.

White tossed in 2 more baskets in the third quarter, and Ratliff and Nealy added baskets to push the lead to 34-13. Ratliff and Hairston popped in fourth period baskets.

White finished with 10 points for Clarkton, and Z. Drayton led Tabor City with 11 points. Zyeria Ripley scored a Clarkton basket in the fifth quarter.

Coach Chris Callihan’s Lady Blue Devils are scheduled to return to action on Jan. 9th at Nakina.
