WHITEVILLE – Whiteville Central built a 12-4 halftime lead en route to a 20-13 Waccamaw Middle School Conference girls basketball victory over Bladenboro Monday.

Center Brookee Singletary worked the paint for a pair of first half baskets for the Lady Bulldogs. Mallory Bryan threw in 2 baskets and a free throw in the second half and led Bladenboro with 5 points. Teammates Marly Crabtree and Noria Singletary scored second half baskets.

Egypt Childers led Central with 6 points.

The Lady Bulldogs, now 4-1 in Division AA play and 5-3 overall, will host Williams Township Thursday.
