Currie, NC – Due to incoming Hurricane Idalia, which is projected to make landfall in the general vicinity in the coming days as a tropical storm, and with the projection for several inches of rain that could cause flooding on the rural roads surrounding the park, Moores Creek National Battlefield will be closed Thursday, August 31. This will include all park trails and roads. A determination will be made about park operations for Friday September 1, pending a thorough investigation of the safety of the park.
