More than 800 ballots were cast in Bladen County during the first five days of early voting, according to figures released by the Bladen County Board of Elections.

There were 150 votes cast Sunday. This is the first time that Bladen County has offered voting on Sunday.

In total, 811 votes have been recorded at the county’s three locations – the Bladen County Board of Elections in Elizabethtown, Spaulding-Monroe in Bladenboro and East Arcadia Town Hall.

The three sites will be open from 8:30 a.m. until 7:30 p.m. weekdays, 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Saturdays and 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. Sundays through February 28. On Saturday, February 29, polls will be open from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Early voting will continue through Feb. 29. The primary is scheduled March 3. The general election is November 3.

Photo identification is not required to be able to vote.

Voters will decide by party affiliation candidates for November’s general election from president, national and state legislatures, state council, judges, county commissioner and school board members.

Only those races where more candidates from a party have filed than seats available will be on the primary ballot.
