The Mother County Genealogical Society will meet Saturday, August 13, at the Bladenboro Historical Society Building located at 818 South Main St., Bladenboro.
The speaker will be Jonnie Flowers, President of the Robeson County Genealogical Society. Many of us in Bladen County have ties to families in Robeson County. Mrs. Flowers may be able to tell you where to find some information about your family.
The Robeson County Genealogical Society was formed to gather Robeson County family histories that were published in 2002. The group felt they had more histories to be gathered and shared not only among themselves but others with the same interest. As a result of this interest, the society published in 2010, “A Walk through Meadowbrook” which was a great success.
Come join us and enjoy our program, and mingle with those present to discuss your family interest.
The Bladenboro Historical Society Museum, including the Family History room, are open every Saturday and Sunday between 2 and 4 p.m.
