Folks in Bladenboro now have a new business located in the depot building located at 104 West Elm Street. CJ’s Nails officially opened their doors on Friday, July 1, according to owner Christina Jayne, and business has been picking up as news of the opening has spread.

The salon is open from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and will close at 5 p.m. on Wednesdays. Jayne said that other times can be arranged by appointment. Appointments can be arranged by calling 910-633-2781 or by text message or through the salon’s Facebook page.

The salon offers a full range of nail services including manicures, pedicures, gel nails, gel polish, and a build-your-own manicure or pedicure, said Jayne.

She said owning her own nail salon has been a goal for a very long time.

“I really knew I wanted to open one (a nail salon) up before I went to school to learn how to do nails. Anybody that goes into the beauty business wants their own place. I’ve wanted to open a my own nail salon for years,” said Jayne.

She said the people of the town of Bladenboro have been very welcoming to her since learning she was leasing the depot for a nail salon. Jayne said people have stopped her when she was in town and inquired when the salon will open.

Jayne said the building did require some renovations when she leased it and the staff with the town of Bladenboro have bene very helpful. Jayne said the town installed a hot water heated in the building for the business. Other renovations Jayne said she made to building included the removal of the carpet and laying of linoleum flooring and painting.
