Raleigh- On Friday, June 7, 2019 at approximately 3:30 p.m. the State Highway Patrol was notified of a plane that had gone missing and possibly crashed in Nash County, N.C. The last reported radar indication of the plane was in the area of NC 43 and Harrison Road.   The State Highway Patrol responded to the area, along with local authorities, and quickly located partial pieces of an aircraft wing on Harrison Road.  After an extensive search by our agency, the North Carolina Wildlife Commission, North Carolina Forest Service, Nash County Sheriff’s Office and Nash County Fire/EMS the fuselage was located off of Taylor’s Store Road.  There were four confirmed deceased occupants of the aircraft along with two deceased dogs that were located on the aircraft.  The aircraft was reportedly traveling from Naples Airport in Florida to Easton/Newman Field in Maryland.  The occupants of the aircraft were all residents of Naples, Florida.  The National Transportation Safety Board(NTSB) is the lead agency in charge of the investigation and is handling all information relative to the cause of the plane crash.

 

The deceased occupants of the aircraft are as follows:

 

  • Evva Leigh Boll, 48 Years Old
  • Gregory Boll, 57 Years Old
  • Roberta Laquidara, 52 Years Old
  • Felix Laquidara, 53 Years Old
