Attention, travelers in the vicinity of Race Track Road (SR1111): Twisted Hickory Road (SR1003) is currently closed for essential crossline replacement work. This closure, which began earlier this month, will remain in effect until September 29, 2023. Please plan your routes accordingly and be prepared for detours if necessary. NCDOT crews are diligently working to complete this project on schedule.

US Highway 701N: New Bridge in Use

Good news for commuters on US Highway 701N! The new bridge is now open for all traffic, providing a smoother and safer travel experience. Please note that there is a WIDE LOAD TRAFFIC RESTRICTION in place, so be mindful of any oversized loads when using this route. Elwell Ferry Operating on Fall Schedule

If you rely on the Elwell Ferry for your transportation needs, take note of the updated fall schedule.
