PEMBROKE – West Bladen’s girls tallied 19 points and the Knight boys scored 13 points Friday in the NCHSAA Class 2A MidEast Track & Field Regional held at UNC-Pembroke.
Seniors Malijah McKoy and Deyon McDonald posted 4th place finishes for the Knight boys – McKoy in the 100 meter dash, and McDonald in the 110 meter hurdles. Senior Cornelius Esters placed 6th in the long jump.
Senior Trinity VanEyken finished 4th in the 100 meter hurdles and 6th in the 300 meter hurdles to lead the Lady Knights. Senior Keira Lewis placed 6th in the long jump, and junior Alina Chavez was 5th in the shot put and 8th in the discus.
