Dublin, NC – Bladen Community College proudly announces the swearing-in of a new member to its Board of Trustees, underscoring the institution’s ongoing commitment to fostering excellence in education and community engagement.

During the January Trustees meeting held on the 23rd, Ashley Marlowe was officially sworn in by Bladen County Clerk of Court, Cristin Hursey, to serve as a valuable addition to the Board of Trustees. Appointed by the Bladen County Commissioners, she brings her unique expertise and passion for community development to further enrich the board’s diverse perspectives.

Additionally, Dalton Davis was sworn in as the student body representative for the Board of Trustees during the same meeting. Davis brings a wealth of experience and dedication to his role, currently serving as an ambassador for the college’s Foundation and holding the position of president within the BCC Student Government Association. Known for his active involvement in various college events, Davis consistently demonstrates his commitment to enhancing the college community and advocating for student interests.
These appointments to the Board of Trustees represent a continued dedication to ensuring a vibrant and inclusive learning environment for all students. They join a dedicated group of trustees who are instrumental in guiding the institution’s strategic initiatives and advancing its mission of providing accessible, high-quality education.

In a heartfelt farewell, Brian Campbell shared his gratitude for the opportunity to serve as a member of the Bladen Community College Board of Trustees. He expressed how much he has enjoyed being a part of the college community and contributing to its growth and success, sharing a personal perspective on education through the eyes of a student. To honor his service, Mr. Campbell was presented with a plaque and recognized by Board Chairman Dennis Troy.
