Elizabethtown, NC (February 19, 2024) – Calling all beach bums and mountain bike enthusiasts! The North Carolina Interscholastic Cycling League (NCICL) kicks off its epic eighth season with “Crankin’ at the Creek,” a two-day event featuring over 500 middle school and high school student-athletes shredding the trails at Browns Creek Bike Park in Elizabethtown, NC.

Surf’s Up, Shredders!

Held on March 2nd and 3rd, 2024, “Crankin’ at the Creek” heats things up with a Beach Bash theme. This coastal celebration recognizes the event’s proximity to the ocean and promises a fun-filled weekend for riders of all levels.

Choose Your Own Adventure:

  • Brand-new Racecourse: Test your mettle on a challenging and exciting loop designed to push your limits.
  • Adventure course: Take a break from racing and explore the trails at your own pace, mastering technical skills and building camaraderie.
  • Games and activities: Relax and recharge with a variety of beach-themed games and activities in the main event area.

Local Flavor:

  • Onslow and New Hanover County teams: Cheer on your local heroes as they represent their communities.
  • Trail boss support: A big thanks to Cape Fear SORBA for maintaining the incredible Browns Creek trail system.
  • Local business love: Ridge Supply from Cedar Point, NC, joins the league as a proud sponsor.
