Good morning! 3 things to know for Wednesday, October 28

1. Ready for an extra hour of sleep? Or ready to stay up an extra hour and not lose any sleep? However you do it, daylight saving time officially ends Sunday at 2 a.m. Turn your clocks back one hour before you go to bed Saturday night. It means sunset will be at 5:23 p.m. Sunday.

2. One final chance in Bladen County to be scared this weekend. The White Lake Haunted Trail is Friday and Saturday from 8 p.m. until midnight at the Water Rescue building on N.C. 53. Cost is $5 per person. Clarkton Dixie Youth Baseball’s Haunted House is open Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 7 p.m. until midnight. It’s located at the corner of N.C. 211 West and White/McEwen Road, about 3 1/2 miles west of Clarkton. Cost is $5 per person. Funds go to a good cause. Try not to scream too loudly.

3. Believe it or not, the Bladen County publich school year is officially one-quarter over. Monday was Day 45 of the 180-day school year. Report cards should go home early next week.

And now you know.
