Bladen County Commissioners meet in Kelly at 6 p.m. this evening at Centerville Baptist Church. Purpose of the meeting is to receive comments, suggestions regarding the White Oak Dike Levee System, which failed during the most recent storm and flooded the area. Some folks, I am told, are still not back in their homes. Centerville Baptist Church is located at 18577 NC 53 East, Kelly, NC. Area residents are encouraged to attend.
Commissioners will hold another Special Meeting Thursday, 10 a.m. to address planning issues and to discuss the FY 2019-20 budget. The meeting will be held at the Mac Campbell, Sr. Terminal Building, at Elizabethtown Airport. Actual address is 466 Airport Road.
