A Bladen County Sheriff’s Deputy drove into standing water near Clarkton on Saturday evening and his vehicle stalled out on NC 211.

“He drove into some standing water and the car flooded,” said Bladen County Chief Deputy Larry Guyton.

A wrecker was called to assist the deputy, according to Guyton and the deputy is reported to be fine.

Emergency Management officials are asking residents to stay off the roadways unless it is an emergency.
