RoadSnacks website lists Bladenboro in the top 5 North Carolina towns and cities with the most Ashley Madison zip code accounts.Ashley Madison has been in the news lately as the website promoted for spouses interested in cheating on their partner.
There are over 32 million Ashley Madison accounts, according to the RoadSnacks site. It further indicated the “the going consensus is that almost all were created by men. In North Carolina alone, there were over 300,000 accounts created.”
“After analyzing 265 cities & towns, Cherryville was rated #1, followed by Forest City, Dallas, Belmont, Bladenboro, Jacksonville, Cornelius, Bessemer City, China Grove and Asheville is #10.
The RoadSnacks website indicated they attempted to know who was cheating by zip codes The site admitted that all were accounts, but not likely people because dummy accounts may be assigned to a town/city or there may be multiple accounts. The site continued, “We believe the number of accounts to be a solid proxy for the number of people trying to cheat.”
The population is an estimate for the population of the zip codes to identify the number of cheaters per capita.
The site continued, “After identifying the number of cheaters per capita in a town/city, we ranked each place from highest number of cheaters per capita to lowest. The place with the most cheaters per capita “earned” the title of cheating central of North Carolina.”
The site featured pictures of the top 10 towns in the state.
Fairmont was rated # 15, Fayetteville was #20. Others included Whiteville #76, and Lumberton #82. Elizabethtown was rated #151 in the state.
Hackers, unhappy with the Ashley Madison website, reportedly exposed many of the zip codes of users

(The Bladenboro, Elizabethtown, Clarkton and other local zip codes do not just represent the number of residents inside the city limits where the per capita formula was used. The Bladenboro zip code is used from NC 41 (Elizabethtown-Lumberton highway) to the north, west to the big swamp, southwest to near Evergreen and Boardman, south to the Columbus County line and east along NC 211 between Abbottsburg and Clarkton and along NC 242 East to near White’s Store..
The size of the town of Bladenboro is 2.2 miles according to Wikipedia and a population of 1,746 according to 2013 statistics.)
