ELIZABETHTOWN – East Bladen Coach Robby Priest was presented with his green jacket by representatives of the Battle of the Carolinas Shrine Bowl game along with Bladen County Shriners before Friday night’s home football game against Fairmont.

Priest has been named as an assistant coach for the North Carolina team in the 81st Annual Shrine Bowl Game that will be played Saturday, December 16 at Joe Gibbs Stadium in Spartanburg, SC.

“I’m just honored and humble to know that there are a lot more deserving coaches,” said Coach Priest. “I am happy to be thought of and for our program to be recognized and considered for what we have accomplished.”

Priest’s family was in attendance as well as East Bladen and Bladen County Schools officials.
Now in his sixth season at the helm of the Eagles Priest’s teams have compiled a 50-21 record.

Priest will travel to Greensboro Sunday to participate in the final player selection process as the North Carolina roster is finalized.
