The Bladen County Health Department announced a ribbon-cutting scheduled for a Bladen County Mobile Clinic. Trillium Health Resources, Bladen County’s Medicaid managed care system, is launching a mobile integrated care unit, with funding provided by NCDHHS through the federal Substance Abuse Treatment Block Grant. There will be mobile clinics in 17 counties in Trillium’s catchment areas.

Trillium Health Resources is partnering with Coastal Horizons Mobile Clinics to launch the One Community Initiative with the mobile clinics in Bladen County to address stress, anxiety, depression, and general mental health challenges.

According to Trillium’s website, while specific services at each unit may vary based on provider or local demands, they are expected to offer the following:

  • Mental health screenings
  • Substance use disorder treatment
  • Traditional therapy
  • Assertive outreach
  • Medication management via telemedicine
  • Care management
  • Peer support
  • Crisis and Disaster Response

The site also stated, “As the needs of communities develop, clinics may offer physical health services such as general health checkups and vaccinations (such as flu or pneumonia). In the future, we hope the mobile clinics will be able to provide Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) for individuals experiencing opioid addiction.”

The ribbon-cutting for the mobile clinic is scheduled for Tuesday, April 12 at 10 am at the Cape Fear Farmer’s Market, located at 106 Martin Luther King Drive in Elizabethtown, NC.
