 Heide Trask erupted for 6 runs in the first inning and went on to capture a 10-0 Four County Conference softball victory at West Bladen Tuesday night.

The Lady Titans bunched seven hits to score the 6 runs in the first, added an unearned run in the third and scored 3 runs on 5 hits in the sixth inning.

A. J. Johnson struck out nine batters and scattered 6 hits and 4 walks to pick up the win for Trask. Johnson also batted 2-3.

Teammates Taylor Rivenburgh and Carlie Savage also finished 2-3 at the plate. Brittany Foy and Kristina Collier batted 2-4 for the Lady Titans.

Freshman Carley Dawson batted a perfect 2-2 and also drew a walk for West Bladen. Junior Jenna Dove also smacked 2 hits in 2 at-bats for the Lady Knights. Juniors Alanna Ludlum and Kathryn Schultz connected for one hit each for West Bladen.

Schultz and Dove started the West Bladen fifth with singles, but Johnson retired the next 3 batters to end the threat.

In the Lady Knight sixth, juniors Sophia Singletary and Logan Autry sandwiched walks around a Dawson single to load the bases, but Johnson worked out of trouble with a strike-out and a double play.

Singletary went the distance in the circle for West Bladen.

Trask remains unbeaten in Four County play with a 3-0 league mark and is 7-1 overall. West Bladen is now 2-1 in the league and 3-4 overall.  The Lady Knights will host Pender today (Wednesday) at 6 p.m.
