According to recent news accounts, Donald Trump will be coming thru or over Bladen County this week. He will be in Wilmington and Fayetteville on Tuesday. Not sure his source of transportation, most likely Trump airlines.
If you follow social media, there is so much misleading news related to Trump and Hillary Clinton. Off-the-wall new sources with headlines that are unfair, and many apparently untruthful. There is enough bad news about both without these sources.
Have you watched any of the Olympics? Good to see people from all over the world competing against each other. The participants and host cities have spent years preparing.
The 2020 Summer Olympics will be in Tokyo. The 2018 Winter Olympics are set for Pyeongchang and in Beijing in 2022.
For the record, 36 editions of the games have been hosted in Europe, 12 in the Americas (8 in the US), 5 in Asia and 2 in Oceania. This year’s games are the first for South America.
It takes years of preparation and a ‘potful’ of money to hosts the games.
Just a few days remain for summer 2016. School days are just around the corner.
East Bladen’s football team scrimmages Lumberton Wednesday, August 10th. The scrimmage will be in Lumberton, and West Bladen will scrimmage at South Brunswick the same date.
